Question of the Day.. Is Dating a Sin?

This is something I think every good christian kid has covered somewhere in their own lifetime. With my influences of my parents, grandparents, youth pastor and youth leaders ( yes, even you! ;D) I've got what I consider to be the best answer.

When you're dating, ask yourself, " why"? For marriage, fun, just because everyone else is are pretty common answers. ( If you're younger than 18, I doubt it's the first.)

Over the past few months I've talked to many people about dating. My friend, who I'll call Natalie, used to date secretly because her Muslim parents didn't approve. Now she's single and she tells me it was the biggest waste of her time. It tore down family relationships and trust, and time she could've spent learning English was spent going on secret dates with guys she doesn't even speak with now.

It pretty much boils down to this: Dating is meant to look for the One that you will marry and spend your life with together. If you're not dating for that reason and that reason alone ( be honest, guys! ), dating is not for you right now. --Ashley
